Job Description:

• You participate in the installation and maintenance of the PT equipment at Chengdu, China;
• You collaborate intensively during installation phase with subcontractors to supervise the installation until the start-up of equipment, involving especially electrical and cooling aspects of the equipment (Gantry, Power Supply Cabinets, Electrical wiring, X-Ray equipment, etc.);
• You are responsible for all different aspects of Proton Therapy commissioning activities in all phases, which will include but not be limited to unit testing, integration testing, validation testing and other various site related activities as they are defined by the site manager;
• You are in charge of testing and validating new releases according to the specifications, and you ensure the customer requirements are meet in terms of compliance, quality, technical performance, and timing;
• You operate Proton Therapy System for various customer needs, which will include, but not be limited to Patient Treatment, Patient Specific QA, development, Software Testing, Troubleshooting, and experimentation;
• You maintain the Proton Therapy System including but not limited to preventative maintenance and curative maintenance;
• You communicate the status of the system to the customer as well as to IBA employees.
• You ensure the quality of technologies and services.
• You work in an international team of approximately 13 people, and report to the Site Manager.

Profile Required:
• You have very good oral and written skills in Mandarin and English;
• You are based at Chengdu site, willing to travel up to 15% of your time, and up to 60% during the training period;
• You have a bachelor or master degree in engineering (preferably in electronics, electricity or electro mechanics);
• You have a broad technical knowledge in several of the following fields: PLC’s, regulation loops, drivers, sensors, positioning equipment, electric motors, high voltage equipment, vacuum systems, cooling systems, etc.;
• You have relevant technical experience in electronics/electrical system troubleshooting, mechanical system design and repair, and operations of large systems;
• You are a hard worker and willing to learn new technologies. Any kind of proven experience in large system troubleshooting in following fields: electricity and electronic systems including automation are an asset;
• Your experience of mechanical system repair, maintenance and operations of large systems is a plus;
• You have general knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Access, Outlook etc.;
• You have basic knowledge of UNIX is a plus;
• Your SAP knowledge is a plus;
• You are a flexible person, willing to work in rotating shift work, night work and weekends (up to 50% of your time);
• You are a detail oriented person with very good analytical skills;
• You are a team player with a strong customer focus;
• You are result-oriented.
