MISSION
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible of machinery development of the assigned programs.
He/she participates all the phase of project development as a machine design expert.
He/she has to follow company safety procedure and always wear required PPE during work in company.
Responsibilities & Activities
Activity 1: Development of new resources and processes up to on-site start-up
During the project quotation or design phase, support industrial engineer for the costing of module/pack battery line, propose the machine flexible and reliable conception.
Support the machinery project risk and issues regularly review and tracking with suppliers from machine kick off until FAT.
Support process development, production of first parts, R@R with the industrial engineer and the plant team members.
Support the Industrial Engineer for DFM&A and PFMEA to identify the risk of machine development whole phase.
Involve new machine development for plants refer to company standard requirements, identify and solve critical issues during machine development phase;
Must successfully complete all POAI required training.
Activity 2: continuous improvement, capitalization of know-how, standardization and innovation.
According to the requirement of plant, ensure the technical support for productivity, quality and process problem for mass production.
Formalize and integrate the know-how and the experience , Lessons learned and MDCS.
Innovate, realize and ensure the reliability for new mechanical or machine conception.
With synthetically knowledge to define the procedure of the machine project management, sharing experience, training and continue improve our standard.
Working on the quality improvement on project.
Participate in the analysis of quality and safety issue.
Participate in the creation and implementation of new training module and POAI standard.
Activity 3: Supplier development and training
Communicate PO standards (MDCS) to suppliers and ensure that PO CES requirements are understood
Ensure technology transfer to suppliers in a manner most appropriate to their needs
Use training materials, design guidelines and specification in their development
Assess supplier performance in terms of technical execution and project management.
Activity 4: Plant support
Provide support to factories from technical side in the event of poor performance(OEE/PPM issues).
Carry out debugging and process improvement actions on request (improvement of new equipment, modification of machines in serial production, etc.)
Conduct training for factories on the use of new machines or innovative processes
Activity 5: Safety requirement
Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures.
He/she have authority to stop machines in case of immediate risk.
Consciously accept safety training, actively participate in safety activities and comply with safety regulations;
Report unsafe status and behaviors in time, and actively participate in safety improvement.
Must comply with all safety rules and regulations.
Other things assigned by line manager.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Personal Background
Bachelor major in Mechanical Design or Automatism & Electrical.
Minimum 8 years’ experience for mechanical design, and 3 years design experience of module/pack battery line.

Job Technical skills
Mastery of mechanical & machine design.
Operational management of projects
Mastery knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic Knowledge, flexible robotic line knowledge.
Mastery knowledge of metal material (Ex: aluminum, steel, bronze…), manufacturing, treatment.
Basic knowledge of plastic material machining and welding process control.
Mastery knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks (preferred) or INVENTOR, Autocad).
Mastery knowledge of for module/pack production process, and process critical control
Knowledge of Ergonomics, lean manufacturing principles. Understanding of process capability
parameters.

Job Soft skills
Fluent English level(CET-4), French is preferred.
Good communication skill with internal & external interface.
Strong trouble shooting skill.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
