Main Duties:
Proactively manage and develop sustainable profitable growth for our entire product and services portfolio at a limited number of assigned key strategic accounts in China
Obtain a deep understanding about the assigned accounts – organization, buying centers, business culture, strategic direction, challenges, AVL supporters and opponents, budgets, AVL competitor directions, etc
Develop and update strategic multiyear account plans for each of the assigned accounts
Develop the necessary plans to consistently exceed the assigned yearly Order Intake and Sales quota
Drive and manage all of the account on-going opportunities while maintaining accurate and updated opportunity information within SFDC at all times. Provide periodic forecast for each of the assigned accounts. This does not mean that the KAM will be the Opportunity Owner for all opportunities within the assigned accounts
Drive business opportunities and obtain supplementary information from the customer as required, clarify boundary conditions, budget limitations, competitive insights, etc.
Identify key AVL differentiators that can help achieve our success of an opportunity
Ensure full and transparent cooperation with each of the AVL Business Units, Affiliate Business Managers (ABMs), Global Account Managers (GAM) for global accounts, and other centralized support teams
Be the “voice of the customer” to the AVL organization and be the “voice of AVL” to the customer. Deliver customer feedback and drive improvement to ensure customer satisfaction
Develop a good working relationship with the client at all levels within their organization and always represent AVL with a high level of customer support, integrity and professionalism
Requirements:
University degree or post-graduate degree with a major in Engineering, Automotive, Combustion Engines, or Electrification
Over 8 years engineering sales experience with a proven record as a Key Account Manager
Outstanding commercial negotiation skills
Outstanding ability to collaborate and lead teams to accomplish critical challenges
Process the necessary business discipline
Excellent written and spoken English skills
Self-motivated, flexible and good team player
Able to operate and be productive within a matrix organization
Ability to work under intense pressure with good psychology and personal qualities
Be able to accept frequent and extended business travel
