The Advanced Technology Fund is a private equity fund focused on advanced technologies in sustainable economy space. We are currently seeking a seasoned and mature manager to run our operations in the Greater China area. The role will be a people manager function with the responsibility to run our office and activities in China. This role will be based at our Shanghai HQ office and report to the Global Vice President of the Advanced Technology Fund.
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure operational practices are fully compliant with legislation and policy through monitoring, accountability, auditing, and reviewing all practices.
• Manage and drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, performance levels, and process change initiatives.
• Contribute to operational deployment plans outlining critical and best practice launch activities.
• Lead function in annual plans and budget preparation.
• Manage our sales, business development, technical & project delivery teams in the region.
• Actively participate in business development activities in B2B and B2G segments.
• Implement the key performance indicator systems for individual companies in our portfolio. Set KPIs across companies from multiple industries in the technology fields.
• Direct cooperation with finance and controlling division of the fund on investment and performance manners.
• General management of the operation of the Great China region, which includes overseeing the support team and processes.
• Coach, develop, and mentor the team in their career development
• Manage the cost of operations and logistics within the assigned budget.
• Interact with our shared services and center of excellence teams in Europe.
Qualifications:
• University Degree (MBA or Commercial Sector Degree preferred)
• 10+ years of working fields in relevant fiends, and 5+ years of management experience managing managers of managers.
• You must have entrepreneurship mind-set, curiosity, strong problem solving and creative skills.
• Experience in business development in B2B / B2G welcome.
• You have a good general knowledge of operations, HR, Finance, Marketing, Procurement departments, and basic processes.
• Enjoy setting up super optimized processes and desktop procedures.
• Ability to plan and prioritize effectively: strong project/process management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
• Technically proficient (Advanced) in Excel, Word, PowerPoint essential.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence others while working in a cross-functional environment, preferably with senior members of the business.
• English (a must) and Chinese (native).
• Team player with high personal integrity and ethics.
• Multi-industry business experience is welcome.
