Cargo Services Officer

Role Introduction:

1、To assist with operational and reservation functions for the port including oversight of suppliers to ensure compliance to Cathay service levels and regulatory requirements.

2、To provide support to port management to drive service excellence and delivery of the cargo services strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1、Customer Service
1)Perform local or overseas operational relief duties or standard duties when required
2)Provide superb customer service on all customer touch points
3)Provide vendor notification for on time and delayed flights daily
4)Provide timely shipment status updates to customers
5)Handle IRR, Damage and Claim cases in a timely and professional manner
6)Help to manage Ground Handling Agent performance and provide guidelines and instructions
7)Support the established performance targets through operational oversight and participation
8)Support cargo reservation and booking adjustment when necessary to provide exemplary customer service

2、Service Delivery and Excellence
1)Prepare loading plan to maximise space utilisation and commercial priorities
2)Prepare flight documentation for crew and Customs
3)Check and review post flight documentation
4)Prepare post flight reports in a timely and accurate manner
5)Provide freighter catering uplift and last minute changes
6)Coordinate effectively between engineering, airport operations, air traffic control and vendors to ensure smooth communication and service provision
7) Coordinate cargo service activities between sales, operations and ground handling in order to ensure efficient handling of shipments
8)Communicate effectively via various channels stakeholders including customers, airport and cargo operations, suppliers, flight crew etc.
9)Assist with various administrative station tasks such as SAP
10)Coordinate weather diversions at diversion sites
11)Handle diversion of Cathay Pacific Flights when required
12) Assist with crew administration and support matters at the port
13)Support station training activities as required
14)Support station management in supplier oversight including reporting Ground Handling Agent performance issues
15)Control and manage the Unit Load Device inventory level to meet the demand during seasonal peaks
16)Any other reasonable task as requested

3、Safety, Security and Compliance
1)Help to ensure compliance and conformance to all regulatory and internal safety, security, quality, and procedural requirements
2)Undertake quality check programmes established by Head Office and participate in audits as required
3)Support Emergency and Accident role as required
4)This position is safety influencing and safety sensitive

4、E&A
Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required

Qualifications / Experience:

1、Academic Qualifications
College degree or above

2、Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
1)Study in a Cargo or related field is a distinct advantage
2)Minimum 2 years' experience in cargo industry is an advantage
3)Strong communication skills
4)Natural customer service orientation
5)Attentive to detail
6)Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
7)Adapts to change easily
