Assistant Store Design
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is to
1. Implement the roll-out expansion plan for all standard retail concept stores.
2. Ensure all global and local design & fit-out guidelines are followed, and maintain a high-quality store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative design
1. Understand customer needs and deliver store design in line with brand standard
2. Manage local design agency to provide creative store design
Pre design
1. Work with LDI to provide pre design if required(e.g. bubble plan, fixture plan, elevation, 3d rendering)
Design standard and manual
1. Master brand standard and manual of store design and update regularly
2. Train internal and external related team for new format roll out
Fixture development(for special case only)
1. Design and prototype fixtures locally in line with global guidelines
2. Provide technical support and work with factory and procurement closely
Communicate with LL & functional team on technical issue
1. Identify and address on site technical problems
2. Manage cost and risk raise up due to site conditions
3. Support on site for hand over and take control of design change if necessary
Drawings and materials approval
1. Work with LDI to provide full construction drawing package of store design with high quality
2. Check and confirm materials based on design standard
3. Manage timeline for whole design process
4. Monitor design changes on site during construction
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to develop/implement brand design strategies based on consumer insights & recent front trends on world.
2. Strong communication skills and ability to cooperate with cross functional teams internally and externally.
3. Motivation to create new ideas, inspiring visuals, and strong presentation skills.
4. Strong sense of responsibility
5. Strong retail construction knowledge
6. Strong interior design knowledge
7. Takes initiative, organized and results oriented
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
1. 1-3 years’ experience in retail design, retail construction, or related industry
2. Architecture design/interior design /major related to retail store design
3. College degree or above
4. Software skills: AutoCAD/3D max/Sketch up/ Adobe acrobat/ Photoshop/ Microsoft tools
5. Good written & spoken English
