Role Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for driving key projects that support the sales growth, oversight, and tracking of key initiatives for lens expansion, new product entry and identifying opportunities to cross-sign across products. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams in China and the US to complete initiatives on time and on budget. The Project Manager will engage internal and external stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact for all Value Creation Project-related matters in the China market.
Reports to: Chief Transformation Officer
Responsibilities
• Develop project plans and timelines, assign resources, and track progress to completion
• Drive process improvements and develop new capabilities to enhance future projects
• Contribute to strategic planning and business development opportunities in China
• Manage budgets, analyze spend, and identify cost optimization opportunities
• Lead status reporting and communication to senior leadership
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across departments and countries
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendors, agencies, and external stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure on-time delivery
• Stay up to date on industry and regulatory changes that impact projects and initiatives

Required Experience and Skills
• 5+ years of project management experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry required. Direct experience in China preferred
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, or related field; MBA or professional certification preferred
• Excellent written and verbal Mandarin Chinese and English communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities to consolidate and categorize customer to inform project plans, identify risks, and implement solutions
• Expertise with project management software such as Microsoft Project
• Ability to interact effectively with cross-cultural teams and external vendors and partners
• Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning to completion
• Comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities in a dynamic environment

Desired Experience
• Familiarity with Medical Device industry, regulations, and commercial environment
• Background working with clinical trials, product registrations, reimbursements or other regulatory processes in China
• Previous experience at a multinational medical device or pharmaceutical company
• Training in Lean Six Sigma, change management or quality management systems
• Master's degree in a relevant field

• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components
• Some travel may be required
