Role Purpose

Translates written material between English and Chinese, ensuring meaning and context are maintained.

Areas of Responsibility and Accountability

• Reads through material in one language, ascertains understanding of the meaning and context of the material and converts it into a second language, making sure to preserve the original meaning.

• Consults with subject matter experts to ensure the nuance of the translation is correct and appropriate for the receiving audience.

• Refers to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation, for example with specialized language or concepts.

• Provides internal and external stakeholders with timeframes/costs associated with work, depending on complexity, length of documents.

• Follows up with internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and understanding.

• Adheres to industry quality standards in APAC.

• Translates a variety of documents and commercial materials

• Translates or provides translation support during meetings/conference calls etc, and documents content of calls/meetings in required language.
Qualifications(Knowledge & Skills)


• Spoken and written fluency in English and Chinese.

• Solid/proven experience in written/oral translation of English to Chinese and Chinese to English, with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

• Ideally ICT industry experience
