Responsibilities:

• Manage plant, field and warehouse environmental, health and safety programs.
• Lead the implementation and refinement of EHS initiatives, best practices and policies to ensure safe working conditions and sound environmental practices for Tianjin Operation.
• Communicate, partner and discuss with Operations management performance objectives and compliance issues as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement of the EHS performance for the operations.
• Guide Operation pollution prevention and waste minimization efforts in reducing the overall cost in facility waste management.
• Direct Operation in achieving overall facility compliance and place focus on moving beyond compliance.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and EHS counterparts throughout Tianjin operations in the identification and prioritization of EHS policies, procedures and best management practices. Key external stakeholders include local EHS government, consultants agencies.
• Provide technical guidance and compliance support to operations supervisors, managers, and EHS team individuals to build up high performance EHS team and high standard safety leadership and behaviors.
• Drive the risk assessments programs and plans to reduce or mitigate risk by working directly with operational team to conduct EHS inspections, audits, risk assessment and incident management to maintain safe working conditions.
• Demonstrating the required behaviors, attitudes and mindset, lead and further develop EHS culture. Drive employee engagement and inspire commitment with location leadership teams.
• Oversee the implementation EHS initiatives and act as a change agent regarding integration into the core business processes. Lead and support the EHS efforts for identifying and planning new projects and effectively ensuring the early and complete integration of EHS initiatives into the operations.


Requirements:
• B.S. degree in Safety, Health and Environmental Management or related field mechanical or electrical engineers.
• Minimum 10 years practical EHS experience in the heavy industrial and manufacturing sectors with increasing roles and responsibilities and a minimum of 2 years previous management experience. Mining experience helpful but not required.
• Proved experience on ISO 45001 and 14001 systems establishment and auditing practices
• Certified Safety Engineer or Certified safety engineer (mining) designation desirable.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge on all EHS laws, regulations, and standards and proved rich experience of compliance management, audit and dealing with multiple local government inspections in proactive and professional manner.
• Training expertise in EHS regulatory requirements, Hazardous Communication, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, lifting and Rigging/Crane Operator Safety Training, and behavioral based safety management are desired.
• Capability to maintain multiple accountabilities and relationships.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills combined with the ability to influence and coach others to receive and manage change.
• Considerable ability to plan and prioritize EHS initiatives and work with others to execute strategic priorities
• Strong capability to lead organization through change and ability to lead multiple projects
• Proficient computer skills
• Fluent English communication skill.
