Main Responsibilities:
1. CAD model and drawing qualities
2. Project timing
3. Package check and reporting to the lead or senior engineer
4. Information exchange (other designers, customer resident engineers, lead engineer, senior engineer)
5. Consideration of design guidelines

Tasks:
1. E-drive Transmission layout and detail design include gear, shaft, housing and gearbox components under consideration of technical function, costs and production
2. Transmission cooling system and lubrication system layout design under consideration of technical function, costs and production.
3. Creation of 3D Cad models and assemblies
4. Creation of detail drawings
5. Creation of Bill of Material (BOM)
6. Consideration of project related design guidelines
7. Responsible for design corrections
8. Technical cross check between components
9. Partly data transfer (AVL intern, Customer, Supplier)
10. Design supporting calculation
11. Packaging investigations
12. Support of the senior and lead designer
13. Developing of Know How
14. Keep project timing, keep deadlines
15. CAD data handling and maintenance

Qualification:
1. Minimum of bachelor degree or above, major in mechanical, automation, vehicle Engineering preferred
2. At least 2 - 5 years’ work experience in a large SOE, JV or multinational companies related to Transmission engineering. Transmission package and / or assembly design. Preferably from layout and detailing; Additional knowledge of Transmission development and production processes
3. Capable in the generation of 3D parametric models and associated 2D drawings by using of CATIA, Creo and or NX CAD system.
4. Familiar with Windchill PDM system.
5. Good English & Chinese communication skills is necessary
6. Represent the professional image of AVL at all the time
7. Familiar with one of gear drive simulation software (KissSoft, Romax, MASTA)
