Position Purpose
Work on innovative amino and phenolic resin products, their preparation, characterization and the relation with their application performance.

Major Accountabilities
1. Responsible for contributing to new projects aimed at short term, medium term product development and potentially longer-term innovations in amino and phenolic resin related technology.
2. provide an interface with the academic world on one side (scouting, cooperation), and with the application laboratories of allnex and its customers on the other side, as well as play a general active role in suggesting technology solution within the allnex R&D community.
3. Actively participate in promoting allnex technology at conferences, and to contribute to its protection through patent applications.
4. Creativity, communication and team-player skills are considered essential for success in this position.
5. Take part in and provide solution for solving important process incident.

Education
1. At least master level education ( PhD is preferred) in organic, polymer chemistry, with affinity for and practical experience on the preparative side
2. able to combine organic/polymer chemistry core expertise with good working knowledge of amino baking coating and phenolic resin application
3. actively interested in new developments in the world of academic as well as industrial chemistry

Experience
Amino and phenolic resin & paint related experience is preferred.

Specific skills
1. Familiar with amino and phenolic resin ;
2. Familiar with coating formulation designing and application test with amino and phenolic as crosslinker.
3. Very good communication skills, fluent in English
