Warner Bros. China was founded in 2016. It is responsible for developing the Studio's various businesses in China, and deepening the cultural exchange between the company and its Chinese audiences. Warner Bros.' operations in China include theatrical and television distribution, home entertainment, video game development, local production and emerging distribution technology promotion.
Warner Bros. has a longstanding history with China- the Studio's most important and priority growth market- and is widely considered the industry pioneer in promoting commercial partnerships and cultural exchanges between Hollywood and China's rich talent pool of actors, directors, screenwriters and professionals. The Studio opened its first office in China in the 1930s. Today, it is still active on a number of business fronts. In order to share China's rich history, culture, and creativity, Warner Bros. is committed to expand its partnerships with Chinese studios, talent and entrepreneurs through numerous efforts and multiple channels.
