Responsible for Battery Pack durability development, modelling construction and simulation, correlating with validation and perspective for whole life.
Major Responsibilities
- Lead the development of aging models for the batteries and guarantee their correlation with tests carried out at the cell/pack level in its real environment.
- Carry out simulation studies to evaluate battery aging and assess the technical solutions envisaged (embedded strategies, different chemistries, etc.)
- Lead the analysis of the compliance of the battery subsystems responses to the sustainability requirements
- Lead, design and ensure the validation plans for these requirements and identify/check the suppliers' plans
- Ensure traceability of requirements (upstream and downstream including test plans)
- Understand the chemical mechanisms of degradation for the different types of chemistry
- Identify the influential parameters and their sensitivity laws on battery aging
- Lead and coordinate technical tables to build the mission profiles associated with the battery sub-components and the analysis the serial life data to improve them
- Evaluate the forecasted quality ppm linked to different types of chemistry during the manufacturer's warranty and afterwards
- Organize the collection and analysis of battery aging data to improve our knowledge of the nature of the problems encountered by our customers
- Request and monitor competitive analysis studies on battery durability
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor or Master on Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electric and Electronic Engineering, Physical Chemistry, etc.
Work Experience
0~3 years’ experience on battery pack / vehicle performance development and validation.
- Experience of durability/reliability topics, independently from the technical field.
- Ability and/or experience with statistics, design of experiment, empirical damage modeling (multivariate, nonlinear, surface response…)
- Know battery technologies and/or electrified propulsion systems, including ruin modes knowledge.
Languagenglish: CET-6 or equivalent, fluent in oral and writing.
Technical Skills
Knowledge on physical chemistry, electro chemistry, lithium-ion battery, vehicle engineering, Statistics,etc.
- SW: Matlab, Simulink, Python, C++, COMOS Multiphysics,
Soft Skills
