Description

The Distribution Risk Management Manager role is responsible for assessing whether the customer outcomes for product sales are in line with HSBC internal standards and regulatory requirements.

The role sits as part of the team responsible for ensuring the bank aligns around our clients to deliver a high quality and robust service.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

- For Insurance Risks related, to handle regulatory tasks including distribution risk checking, publicity education tasks and relating regulatory reports (eg prevent and combat illegal fund-raising, illegal loan intermediary business, unauthorized sales and financial fraud); To carry out risk warnings and publicity on scams like "Insurance Upgrade", "Insurance Dividend", “Fraud Trap”. And other key controls to ensure continuous monitoring on financial escort and safe financial management.

- For Sales Journey related, to set up and facilitate the sales control mechanisms to prevent misleading sales, and promote the requirements of the traceability management of the life insurance sales behavior deeply.

- For Behavior & Industrial Protocol related, to organize and execute control plans and other control reviews to prevent financial risks, strengthen and Improve modern financial supervision measures (e.g. Self-discipline Convention, Code of Conduct for staff integrity and unified requirements for standardizing financial marketing behavior etc.) to construct the incorruptible financial culture.

- For Digital & Personal Information related, to strengthen the risk management of mobile App Information Technology, carry out risk warnings on internet insurance products sales, prevent the insurance consumers’ information leakage, implement the anti-telecom network fraud law, to conduct publicity and other measures for rectification of internet insurance chaos.

- For Non-insurance financial Areas related, to strengthen the risk prevention in this area, such as to crackdown on cross-border gambling, clean network environment, prevent the illegal use of "Bank" to absorb public deposits, unauthorized sales of insurance practitioners, and etc.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

- Working experience in risk management in life insurance, broker company, internal control management, or internal audit

- Technical knowledge of insurance sales process, compliance requirement and regulation requirement

- Good regulator relationship is a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Attention to detail, with ability to deliver good quality output within a tight timeframe.

- Available to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and deal with complex issues.
