What You Will Do

In close cooperation with the Systems Engineer, the Test Engineer performs and manages tests for in-house projects and/or supports the JDM/ODM/OEM suppliers in executing product test and verification plans that are in accordance with standards, reviews all test documentation and associated reports, and conducts critical tests in-house or at 3rd party test facilities.
• Manage test plans and perform test and verification activities for In-house development projects according to the Product Requirement Specification (PRS), International standards, and product use-scenarios.
• Support test and verification activities at JDM/ODM/OEM supplier according to the Product Requirement Specification (PRS), International standards, and product use-scenarios.
• Critical review of all test and verification documentation and associated reports.
• Contribute to design reviews of samples, prototypes, and 0-series products, incl. FMEA and knowledge sharing.
• Plan, execute, analyze, and document test and verification activities in-house or at 3rd party.
• Ensure availability of test equipment, either in-house or at 3rd party.
• Ensure proper product test documentation.
• Participate actively in development project engineering risk assessments and support defining and executing proper technical risk mitigation plans.
• Communicate closely with Systems Engineer (and Project Manager).
• Provide effort estimates for own work packages to project management within product development projects.
• Support delivering products to the market on scope, time, cost, and quality.
• Support quality assurance and supplier quality control.
• Ensure or execute relevant performance measurements of products.
• Act as a role model within discipline; especially for peers, engineers and technicians.
• Scout for discipline-specific input to technology and platform roadmaps.

What You Need
• BS in engineering, e.g. Software, Mechanical or Electrical, and min. 8 years’ experience in test and verification of electro-mechanical products.
• Experience with software testing.
• Experience with reliability testing including application relevant stress tests, vibration test, temperature tests, IPxx test and humidity tests, etc.
• Strong interest for product test/qualification and product quality.
• Analytic, systematic, and pro-active approach to test and verification tasks.
• Strong interest in technical root cause analysis.
• Able to organize own time to ensure project progress.
• Fluent in Chinese and English speech and writing.
• Comfortable with fast-paced and multitasking environment.
• Experience on development quality management and compliance & Certification requirement.
• Experience with Lighting products.
