Job Description:

As the Product Development Manager for high-end outdoor bags, you will play a pivotal role in the conceptualization, design, and launch of new product lines that align with our brand’s aesthetic and performance standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, marketing, and sales, to bring your creative vision to life and ensure the successful commercialization of products.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end product development process for high-end outdoor bags, from ideation to launch, ensuring that products meet quality, cost, and timeline targets.

Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify consumer needs, competitive landscape, and opportunities for innovation in the outdoor bags market.

Work closely with the design team to create sketches, prototypes, and technical specifications that translate design concepts into manufacturable products.

Source and evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing partners to achieve the desired quality and performance standards for outdoor bags.

Manage product testing and validation processes, including field tests and focus groups, to gather feedback and iterate on product designs.

Collaborate with the production team to monitor manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain logistics to ensure on-time delivery of products.

Develop product launch strategies, including pricing, positioning, and marketing campaigns, to drive sales and maximize product success in the market.

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product development, sales, and customer feedback to inform future product iterations and improvements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

Proven experience (X years) in product development, preferably in the outdoor gear industry, with a focus on bags and accessories.

Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Passion for outdoor activities and a deep understanding of the outdoor bags market, trends, and consumer preferences.

Proficiency in product design software(e.g.,AdobeCreativeSuite,CADtools)and Microsoft Office suite.

Knowledge of sustainable practices in product development and a commitment to environmental responsibility.
