Polestar Digital team is developing exciting products for the future, to delivery excellent digital experience to our customer as well as transform our operational capabilities. We are seeking an individual to add to China digital team to lead software engineering and product deliver execution.

What you’ll do
The Technical Lead is responsible for execution of deliverables and roadmap for a digital product/service/platform. The Tech Lead is also translating business objectives set by DPM into technical deliverables and features, as such, the TL is an executor and the visionary force behind the technical solution, working closely with engineer team to deliver new or updated digital products/services/platforms.

Setting the Digital Product's technical direction with the business vision and objectives, tailoring architecture design, and aligning this with DPM
Mentoring and coaching for the engineer team members, being hands on and engage in the development of the digital product/service/platform
Advise DPM in feature creation and acceptance criteria, and communicate trade-offs effectively with various competence groups (Security Officer, Software Engineers, etc.)
Bridge with global digital team on topics including integration, local architecture design and optimization proposal
Defining the overall methodology and also engaging in daily Devops activities for China locally built digital assets
Establish/organize the team's development process, including elements such as, releases, product demos, end user training and workshops.
Supporting the team in problem-solving, balancing priorities and clarifying trade-offs
Engineer products that follow highest coding standards, e.g. documentation and efficiency
Ensure product robustness and reliability by writing and executing unit and integration tests
Improve operational efficiency by developing automation tools for daily tasks



Who you are

Computer Science/Software Engineering or related university education background with Bachelor above degree
Seasoned developer or technical lead with deep insight into newest technologies and trends, deep tech knowledge around platform architecture, front-end and back-end frameworks and cloud and experience in coaching teams
8+ years' experience in software development and architecture, 5+ years' experience of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
Experience with code refactoring, design patters, design-orient development, continuous deployment, and highly scalable applications.
Deep knowledge on programming with c#/.net core and JavaScript/Typescript/NodeJS, have other language experience would be a plus
Familiar with AWS Lambda & Event Driven Architecture.
Experience with microservice architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and k8s.
Knowledge in relational database (MySQL/PostgreSQL/etc), non-SQL database (Mongo/AWS DynamoDB/etc) and message queue (Kafka/RabbitMQ/AWS SQS/etc)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and git-based source control, being familiar with using at least one type of CICD tools like Gitlab Runner, Jenkins, Azure Devops Service, etc.
Experience in agile ways of working is a plus, as well as strong skills of managing technical priorities within the backlog
Strong interpersonal skills with proficient in communicating tech concepts and aligning on decisions with both internal and external partners of all levels of expertise
Previous experience in automotive industry would be a plus
Advanced in Chinese and English
