As a Designer for the Design engineer function(R&D) you will be responsible for:
• make sure collaboration within the team works well.
• create a good team spirit making all contribute with good communication.
• work in a tight and effective team to deliver the right customer value for our B+ customers in China.
• be design responsible for different components and/ or sub-systems on Anti-roll bar and suspension other components/system for heavy-duty trucks.
• together with a multi-functional team, to develop the future China B+ components and sub-system concerning weight, cost, manufacturability.
• You will deal with practical problem-solving in collaboration with a cross-functional working group, as in R&D, production, purchasing, and aftermarket. Based on present products you, in close cooperation with production engineers and purchasing, shall find cost-effective and for the market optimized solutions.
• CAD competence is essential, preferably in CATIA. Previous experience from working with Scania, in the Scania CAD environment, is meritorious
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• over 5 years related experience of Axle & Suspension design
• entrepreneur mindset,
• have a positive attitude, a natural team-building mindset.
• professional relationship-building approach and find it easy to work with other people, especially with people from other cultures (Chinese, Brazilians, Germans, and other nationalities).
• have a great drive.
• enjoy learning new things and have a good ability to absorb new information.
• good holistic overview capabilities.
• Heavy duty truck designing experience is a plus
