• Identify emerging fashion trends; recommend those that are appropriate for the brand/retailers through seasonal research.
• Produce trend presentations for each category that effectively communicate the concept behind the seasonal line.
• Lead in Creating designs with consideration to fabric, color, styling and the current trend that reflect the brand/retailer’s standards. While meeting price points, production timelines and merchandising needs.
• Lead in Creating Mood board, color pallet, design board & fabric board, trim board & final tech pack with all specifications of apparel which includes trims, embroidery prints wash effects (if any)
• Define an aesthetic that will make the products differentiated and unique in the Marketplace.
• Continue to elevate, refine and expand the assortments, focusing on new and potential growth areas while simultaneously maintaining consistent on brand/retailer’s aesthetic.
• Partner with merchant teams to ensure alignment of product across categories.
• Partner with global teams to ensure a smooth product development cycle.
• Involve & lead Design in fit process with PD/Tech teams.
• Involve & lead Design in fabric/ trim/ selection for all range of design.
• Involve in technical design support to merchandise teams as well as take any pre-production design measure.
• Guide the Design team to Serve as creative partner to TD, merchandising, sales & marketing teams.
• Guide the Design team in proposing and work on improvements of print/Graphic creation, identifying repeats, & re-coloring to get the best design aspects of the products artworks.
• Proposed methodology to identify, develop profitable products while maintaining quality, design integrity and brand/retailers’ aesthetic.
• Guide, groom and mentor the team in developing and maintaining a positive & effective working environment with other colleagues/teams.
• Nurture/mentor the design team members to enhance their skill set
• Lead the design team in managing the workload sharing by identifying the skill set of every individual member and use them effectively to grow the business.
