GENERAL SUMMARY (Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job):
1.Responsible for day-to-day plant operations. The position is responsible for controlling and managing all aspects of operations including but not limited to: safety, 5S, Build to schedule, quality, labor, scrap, meeting production schedules, tooling and equipment’s TPM, complying with all regulations, laws and policies regarding health, safety and environmental aspects. Must be able to develop and monitor business plans, budgets and goals for the production area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance):
1.Strong execution and have powerful leadership to develop one team with high execution.
2.Meet Production Schedule.
3.Meet Plant Quality and other established performance metrics.
4.Meet labor cost and labor efficiency target.
5.Meet scrap target.
6.Ensure Plant Equipment is properly maintained.
7.Develop Monthly/ Annual Department plan ensure staffing and equipment levels are adequate.
8.Develop Policies, Rules, and Instructions as needed to ensure all aspects are being done according to a standardized method and necessary records are maintained.
9.Ensure compliance to IATF16949.
10.Be able to develop and establish goals and objectives for department and monitor progress.
11.Develop annual departmental capitol and expense operating budgets.
12.Must drive continuous improvement and demonstrate annual savings to operating costs.
13.Develop training and education plans for department employees.
14.Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques.
15.May require some direct interaction with customers and some travel.
16.May be asked to perform other tasks not specifically addressed above.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).
1. 4-year College Education required, preferably Business or Technical degree.
2. Fluid experience is highly preferred.
3. 5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing facility.
4. Previous Management Experience preferred.
5. A strong understanding and experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques is a strong plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those needed to perform the essential functions of the job).
1.Have strong capacity of all level employees management and engagement.
2.Good Communication and cooperation with other departments(like quality/logistic/maintenance etc.).
3.Must be analytical and able to develop corrective actions and solve problems.
4.Good command of Basic Computer skills.
5.Must be Team oriented Individual who can direct activities.
6.Must lead by example and should be a “hands on” type person.
