Role Purpose:
• To plan, organize, develop and set objectives to carry out the production, utilities, warehouse, and safety operations to meet the company requirements.

Scope:
• R&D plant of Taicang Crystal project.
• Manage day to day manufacturing operations including activities of quality management and production scheduling, people management.
• Raw materials warehouse management
• Finance related management (Purchase order and contract creation, payment, document closing)


Accountabilities:
• To manage and supervise the production through the establishment of balanced utilization of Man, Money and Material.
• To own and manage the operation and maintenance of all site utilities, including but not limited to compressor, boiler, soft water system, HVAC, waste water pretreatment system, and coordinate solid and water waste hauling.
• To own and manage the materials warehouse housing raw materials, intermediate and finished goods. This includes maintaining first in, first out strategy and overall GMP practices and policies.
• To perform in the capacity of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) representative for the site ensuring no safety incidents occur, perform EHS training to site staff, and adherence to EHS policies.
• To manage the set up of annual dipping & finishing section budgets.
• To meet, discuss and coordinate with concerned departments for process and quality improvements. Initiates action to improve process, products or quality systems.
• Plan for development and training of the subordinates for obtaining the proper knowledge and skill to achieve the assignments.
• Direct and assign proper tasks to subordinates, establish work priorities, schedule work and set up effective monitoring system.
• Ensures that all processes within dipping & finishing department are within specifications.
• Maintains the Quality System in area of responsibility in regards to procedures, documentation, corrective actions and deviation reporting, and separation of accepted and rejected product and raw materials.
• To ensure that Good Manufacturing Procedures are carried out.
• To ensure that the responsible areas are kept in good order with regard to both safety and housekeeping.
• Implement program of continuous improvement within the department.
• Manage dipping & finishing KPIs.
• Implement group and site environmental and health and safety: policies, objectives, and other related requirements of the ISO14001 environmental and OHSAS 18001 health and safety management systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Familiar with the relevant laws and regulations of medical equipment, with the practical experience of quality management, has the ability of the practical problems in production management and quality management to make the right judgment and processing.
• Hazardous waste management (ledger establishment, transfer)

Skills & Experience required:
• B.S. degree or equivalent. Preferably chemical/material science or other relevant technical subject.
• Minimum 5 years relevant production experience.
• Good English/Chinese communication skills.
• Computer literate. SAP experience would be an advantage.
• Experience of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or similar.
