The Senior Research Analyst role will entail developing a strong understanding of macroeconomic factors as well as industry and company dynamics. The analyst will work with the financial institutions, performing in-depth analysis on the operational and financial performance for global companies. The person should have good command (read/write/speak) over Mandarin and English.

The role involves supporting the equity research team of a Buy-Side Client.
Responsibilities would include working with Portfolio managers and Senior Analysts at client end and provide highly integrated research support
Build and maintain financial models for active and new positions
Play a consultative role in analyzing and sharing insights on sectors and companies tracked
Handle bespoke research tasks, including preparing event updates, analyzing IPOs/corporate actions, maintaining sector databases
Synthesize sell-side research recommendations and consensus views
Preparing questions for company management and coordination with sell-side brokers
Support in thematic top down or bottom up research in stock selection as relationship evolves
Prepare short investment notes based on analysis and provide clients with actionable insights
Building and Maintain client’s proprietary valuation database using bespoke accounting adjustments
Undertake primary research projects to gather on the ground information

Skills required
2+ years of experience in research (preferably Asset Management Experience)
Strong understanding of accounting and financial concepts
Research exposure
Strong financial modeling capabilities
Above average written and verbal communication skills
Good reading/writing/speaking skills in Mandarin and English
Innovative thinking and solution orientation
Open to new ideas and initiatives
Ability to build strong client relations
Ability to take execute tasks independently
Sector/Industry knowledge and equity research experience will be added advantage
