The Opportunity:

In the position of Principal DevOps Engineer you will join the China Digital Platform  team and will be part of the SW Engineering team.

As a Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer with good experience in monitoring and improving DevOps tools and processes, you will automate routine tasks and improve system reliability.

You will also play a critical role in providing technical support for day-to-day security operations, security tool integration, automation support, change management and business continuity programs.

You will:

Design, and build a secure and compliant Ali Cloud landing zone following well-architected best practices.

*
Integrate the Identity Provider (Ping) with Ali Cloud to ensure secure access management.

*
Design and implement access management permissions for users and resources, ensuring appropriate levels of access.

*
Apply cloud security configuration best practices to all Ali Cloud accounts, ensuring compliance with security standards.

*
Implement security policies at the organization and account levels to enhance the overall security posture.

*
Provision Ali Cloud accounts based on security best practices and security requirements.

*
Automate processes to avoid manual onboarding of products onto Ali Cloud, leveraging reusable components from a Global Roche Cloud team.

*
Build and operate infrastructure supporting common services such as centralized logging, secrets management, and observability.

*
Create scripts, customizations, and templates to ensure efficient and speedy delivery of infrastructure and applications.

*
Champion automation practices and promote lean development methodologies within the organization.

*
Continuously improve CI/CD release automation processes to enable seamless software delivery.

*
Collaborate with DevOps and DevSecOps teams, with a specific focus on security practices and considerations.

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with experience in infrastructure automation and Cloud services, to develop and streamline processes for our cloud infrastructure for navify platform. Proficiency with Ali Cloud including and good knowledge of container orchestration.

Strong knowledge in Cloud Computing with emphasis on Ali Cloud and its related services.

You have a University degree in computer science, engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience. You bring experience working in a multicultural environment and proven cultural awareness.

In addition, you bring:

Strong experience in designing, and implementing secure and compliant cloud architectures, with a deep understanding of cloud security best practices and frameworks

*
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Ali Cloud services and technologies, including but not limited to Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic Compute Service (ECS), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Security Center.

*
Identity and Access Management (IAM): Working knowledge on integrating identity providers (such as Ping) with cloud platforms to ensure secure access management and implement fine-grained permissions for users and resources.

*
Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar, to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently and consistently. Familiarity with IaC principles and methodologies is crucial.

*
Scripting and Programming: Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, C, GoLang, Ruby) to create automation scripts, customizations, and templates.

*
DevOps and CI/CD: Proficiency in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, including experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar. Knowledge of release automation and continuous integration principles is essential.

Security and Compliance: Deep understanding of cloud security concepts and best practices, including encryption, network security, data protection, and certain level of knowledge about compliance frameworks. Experience in implementing security policies and configurations to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including DevOps and DevSecOps teams, emphasizing security practices and considerations.

*
Excellent communication skills are necessary to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
