This position is a UW Assistant manager role to handle large or complex risks under guidance from PE China Head to achieve China P&E top & bottom line.

Working experience for international (re)insurers and/or in China Hong Kong or Singapore market is preferred.
Responsibilities:

1. Meet the LoB portfolio objectives (both top-line and bottom-line) for each underwriting year for Property and Engineering Line of Zurich China;

2. Play a key role in the China produced International Program strategy/initiative, and in development of new Property accounts;

3. Meeting with brokers and cedants to negotiate the best price, terms and conditions for the best interest of Zurich;

4. Following up on the quotes provided to the brokers and cedants to ensure Zurich successfully writes the desirable businesses;

5. Meeting Zurich standards relating to accuracy of policy documentation and various audits; being compliant with regulatory standards.
Qualification Experience:

1. 5+ years of experience in Property underwriting (experience in Construction underwriting is a plus);

2. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM); or in Insurance, Economics, and Finance.

3. Deep understanding and working knowledge of Property underwriting especially large International Programs;

4. Proven experience of dealing with brokers and cedants;

5. Fluent English (written and spoken); Spanish language skills desirable

6. Good planning, proactivity, using initiative and being a good communicator
