MISSION
As the Methods Engineering and Industrialization Supervisor, your primary goal is to optimize production processes, ensure operational efficiency and maximize productivity while reducing costs. This involves implementing standardized methods and procedures, analyzing production flows, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and proposing solutions to resolve them.
Additionally, you will lead the Engineering department to oversee projects from design to mass production and be responsible for controlling and evolving technical documents such as BOM, SOP.
The tasks of the Methods Engineering and Industrialization Supervisor are essential to improving the efficiency of manufacturing operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Optimizing Production Processes :
- Design and implement efficient working methods to increase productivity and reduce production costs.
- Regularly evaluate existing processes to identify potential areas for improvement.
Standardization Management :
- Establish work standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of production.
- Ensure employees understand and follow SOPs.
- Control OF SOP and BOM Evolution.
- Manage product version and drawing evolutions.
Analysis of Production Flows :
- Design and implement efficient working methods to increase productivity and reduce production costs, including test of products.
- Establish work standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of production.
- Analyze production flows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and propose solutions to resolve them.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Work with the engineering team to evaluate and integrate new technologies, equipment or automation.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure that products comply with standards and specifications, and develop quality control protocols.
Cost study of new project launch and quotation
- Support the purchasing team in identifying process and cost requirements.
- Analyze internal or external feasibility for new projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Engineering is required
- Skill in conception software is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar position in China.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a multinational company or dealing with international clients is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Chinese business practices, regulations, and cultural intricacies is necessary.
- Keen analytical ability to analyze production flows, identify inefficiencies and propose data-driven solutions is essential.
- Precision and rigor are crucial in developing work standards and standard operating procedures.
- The ability to think creatively is key in finding innovative ways to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Effective leadership skills are necessary to lead teams and inspire employees toward improvement objectives.
- Strong communication skills are required to explain process changes to employees and to collaborate effectively with other departments.
- Effective time management is important for managing several improvement projects in parallel and meeting deadlines.
- Customer focus: Understanding customer needs and expectations is essential for designing production processes that focus on customer satisfaction.
- Problem-solving skills: The ability to solve operational problems quickly is invaluable for keeping production running.
- Technical knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of production technologies, equipment and systems is required.
- Safety leadership: Promoting a safety culture within the company by ensuring that processes comply with safety standards.
- Deep understanding of Electronics industry standards.
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Experience with programming of electronics boards, conception of electronics boards
- Usage of conception software (Altium etc.…), programming code
- Ability to analyze and identify problem on design and conception.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and ISO standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese are mandatory.
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders including senior management, employees.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and delivering on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ability to set clear goals, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
