The Waste to Energy (WtE) Process Lead involves overseeing the development, implementation, and adherence to processes that improve workflow and reduce operational bottlenecks. By closely monitoring performance metrics and collaborating with various departments, the Process Lead ensures that the overall process meets the project requirements. Their expertise in process management enables them to recommend solutions, and facilitate the adoption of best practices, ultimately supporting the achievement of business objectives with a focus on efficiency and quality.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Take ownership of the overall process for Waste to Energy projects.
2. Interface with Technology providers and obtain such data from Technology providers to ensure all requirements are obtained to complete Basic Design and Detailed Design on Waste to Energy projects.
3. Act as Lead Process Engineer on Waste to Energy Projects and drive a team of process engineers in providing process deliverables for Basic Design and Detailed Design.
4. Identifies project hot spots, criticalities, and activity priorities.
5. Supervise the writing of specifications and requisitions as well as technical bid evaluations.
6. Inform on a permanent basis the Project Engineering Manager and if required the Project Manager of any foreseen technical or financial or delay risk.
7. Define or reviews the contractual performance guarantees and associated liabilities.
8. Participate in HAZOP and SIL reviews.

Education and Qualifications:
1. Expatriate position (hired by China office)
2. Chemical Engineering, Thermal Engineering and/or Power engineering Degree or equivalent.
3. 15+ working years’ experience, demonstrated experiences with various waste to energy process.
4. Good English speaking and writing skills, Chinese mandarin is a plus.
5. Related professional certification can be considered as a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
1. Strong safety focus. In depth knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures.
2. Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities.
3. Good attitude to manage relationships with customers, concerning technical and contractual aspects.
4. Good organizational, project management, oral/written communication, interpersonal/leadership skills.
5. Thorough understanding of Engineering disciplines.
6. Knowledge and expertise in using process-engineering software.
7. Proficiency in guiding Process Engineers working for him/her.
8. Have skills of coordinating with other disciplines and clients.
9. Proven skills in routine process calculations and use of process software and in-house developed spreadsheets.
10. Good knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards.
11. Should be familiar with safety studies like HAZOP, SIL, HAZID, etc.
