JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior IE Manager is the leader of the IE department, responsible for optimizing industrial production processes, improving production efficiency and quality, reducing costs, and coordinating with other departments to achieve business goals. Senior IE Manager is a strategic position that requires candidates with comprehensive engineering knowledge and management skills.


Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the development and implementation of industrial engineering strategic planning, including production process improvement, equipment optimization, process improvement, to ensure the best use of plant resources.
2. Collaboration with cross functional teams for annual IE budget plan and roadmap aiming at maximizing efficiencies and pioneering innovative techniques and methods.
3. Attend internal design strategy meetings with other key engineers and development members.
4. Create and maintain an engineering process database in cooperation with Product Engineering Department detailing available technologies and methods used in today’s manufacturing, as well as detailing current company capabilities /competencies.
5. Act as a change agent – challenge old ways of doing business and implement breakthrough improvements.
6. Plan for the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to maintain and improve efficiency and lower cost.
7. Coordinate standardization of multiple projects and close partnership with cross functional teams in driving processing management.
8. Lead and manage the IE team, develop the ability of team members. Set team goals, assign tasks and manage team performance. Provide training and coaching to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Industrial engineering or related. 10+ years working experience in global manufacturing company, 3+ years in IE management role, preferably with overseas working experience.
2. Familiar with soft goods manufacturing processes such as cutting, laminating, bonding, curing assembly, testing, etc. is a plus.
3. Experience in Operation Excellence, Lean, Visual management, Value Stream Mapping, Continuous improvement.
4. Strong leadership, influence, project management and problem-solving skills to motivate employees for continuous improvement and implementation.
5. Strong knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding factory environments, ergonomics and safety.
6. Open minded, good communication and coordination skills.
7. Fluent English language and presentation skills for management and customer meetings.
