Key objectives of this Role:
1. Operational Excellence:
• Drive global and regional contract leadership, ensuring value-driven solutions, execution speed, and supply continuity.
• Analyze product costs, establish a product database, and negotiate optimal payment terms for improved working capital.
• Strengthen alignment with global purchasing procedures and practices, fostering relationships with regional customers and suppliers.
• Develop & optimize local, regional, & global procurement teams, supporting supply chain in critical situations.
• Ensure timely sourcing for best cost, quality, and delivery, aligned with Visteon Business Operating System (VBOS) and Product Development & Delivery System (VPDS).
2. Supplier Quality:
• Support Quality team to ensure suppliers maintain excellent level of quality performance.
• Communication and confirmation suppliers support latest automotive standards.
• Promote and gain adherence to quality, environmental, safety, and customer-specific requirements.
3. Strategy Execution:
• Deliver aligned global supplier and category strategies, optimizing landed costs and driving competition.
• Collaborate with legal and contract management to establish appropriate contract terms.
• Define and update sourcing strategy aligned with key stakeholders and support competitive quotes.
4. Stakeholder Management and Team Leadership:
• Supervise global procurement teams, develop talent, and create a positive work environment for outstanding performance.
• Act as a single point of contact for global procurement and supplier quality actions.
• Effectively communicate critical information to key stakeholders and build lasting relationships.
• Challenge established ideas, navigate the internal political landscape, and break down organizational silos.
• Incorporate diverse perspectives and adapt to changing market trends to drive business unit success.
5. Analytical Insight and Technology Utilization
• Leverage numerical and information to identify organizational effectiveness drivers.
• Advocate the use of cutting-edge technology for competitive advantage.
• Drive and nurture key relationships with internal and external stakeholders crucial to organizational success.
6. Effective Communication and Persuasion
• Communicate business-critical information with clarity and conviction.
• Persuade influential individuals and negotiate important deals on behalf of the organization.
• Strategically navigate the internal political landscape and collaborate across the organization's hierarchy.
• Stay informed about changing trends and market dynamics in the specialist area.
Qualification, Experience, and Skills:
• Master’s / bachelor’s degree in business management
• Overall, 10-15 years of experience in a Commercial role (Purchasing, Sales), with global responsibility.
• Deep experience in Display technology related business. TFT, LCD, OLED
• Experience working with Executive Team and Business Leaders.
• High levels of business acumen and insight (including knowledge of various strategic, financial, and operational business models).
• Strong market knowledge of direct products across regions
• Proven track record of supplier negotiations and supplier audit performance
• High levels of commercial acumen with Familiarity on systems and vale chain analysis
• Robust/self-starter with passion for technology and entrepreneurial approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Open to travel extensively based on Business requirement.
