1. Product technician support:

1.1 ）Evaluate the customer’s 2D drawings and 3D models, identify the technical requirements of material, tolerances, heat treatment, plating, painting, etc. Choose the appropriate casting process. Determine the machining positions and machining allowance.

1.2 ） Identify drawing issues and provide timely feedback to whole team with constructive suggestions.

2. New project management:

2.1） Applies the project management process to Independently complete the planning for new projects and ensures that the project is successfully completed while meeting the scope, schedule, and cost.

2.2） Organizes and leads technical feasibility reviews and maintains a lessons-learned log and meeting minutes.

2.3 ）Works with Team Leader to create timelines / Gantt charts for projects, monitor project status, and complete documentation for project management.

2.4 ） Shares project timelines with whole team. Assists the Team Leader with project updates and directs supplier activities to achieve project goals of timing, quality, and cost.

2.5 ）Works with QEM QA staff, technical staff, and production staff to understand and document customer quality requirements.

2.6） Project management - sample lead time checking, monitors new projects on time delivery rate, and meets group KPI for new project OTD.

3. Quoting activities:

3.1 ）Confirms casting and machining process best suited for a given product, taking into account quality and cost.

3.2 ） Completes quoting process procedures including RFQ sign off, team decision on supplier selection, and PO review and acceptance.

3.3 ）Complete initial technical feasibility and full technical feasibility reviews.

3.4 ）Recommends design modifications to improve quality and reduce cost.

4. Supplier evaluation:

4.1 ）Evaluates supplier’s processes and technical capabilities to ensure the supplier can meet all specifications and customer requirements.

4.2 ） Ensures the supplier understands all the quality requirements for new projects.

4.3) Visits suppliers periodically to confirm manufacturing processes and communicate quality concerns in the RFQ and development stages.

5.Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Team Leader.
