And its products are used for a wide range of industrial Door and Partition, like cold chain, food industry, hospital, pharmaceutical, public area, welding factory and other industries. MISSION
He/she is responsible of the laboratory and have mission to run all R&D works to develop new formula and new products.
He is responsible to support the local production plant and commercial services with technical support.
He is working to improve the production performances (output, product quality, etc...) and to support commercial peoples with technical recommendations and/or test reports.
He is responsible to find new performant raw materials and their suppliers. He is controlling and validate the quality of the raw materials use in production.
He is responsible to proceed regular benchmarking of products vs. competition.
He is proposing new idea of products or improvements and reporting directly to local and group direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. R&D
- Responsibility of the daily management of the lab (working program schedule, equipment, maintenance)
- In charge of running tests and performances evaluation with internal lab equipment or to work with external laboratories when needed.
- Obliged to know and understand soft PVC formulations and ingredients.
- Responsibility of R&D from lab until real production scale.
- Shall propose idea of new development or improvements.
- Can be asked to work on other plastics and/or work on all technical project of the company.
- Responsible to run analytic and applicative tests (not exhaustive list); aging test (Q-SUN, humidity test, temperature resistance, chemical resistance), mechanicals tests (elongation, tearing resistance, impact resistance at low temperature), fire test, etc...
- Maintain the company’s leader position in R&D on his market.
2. Raw material validation and quality control
- Responsibility to test, valid and control the quality of all the raw materials used by the company and some materials used in other production plants of the group.
- Support quality service with technical recommendations or applicative tests.
3. Technical support to production
- Help production department to solve all the technical issues, for which the performance depends on the raw material's behavior or processing parameters.
4. Technical benchmarking and support to commercials
- Proceed regular benchmarking of the performances of our competitors.
- Assist commercial peoples with technical recommendations and support them with lab tests.
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledges in plastic (soft PVC ideal). Necessary knowledges in chemistry are also required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in plastic industry.
- Fluent in both speaking and writing English.
- Rigorous and autonomous.
- Capable of managing work tasks from abroad instruction.
- Report of work at local and group level.
