Your Job
Design and develop on-time, cost-effective, complicated injection mold.

What You Will Do
1. Participates in product design review and DFMEA discussion to ensure the molding and mass production feasibility; provide proposal design for possible improvement based on mold flow analysis.
2. Works with MPE to identify mold developing schedules based on the risk assessment of mold development.
3. Cooperate with process to review cycle time and define the machine and the end of arm.
4. Prepares CAD mold design models which cover details, layouts and assemblies of new mold design for new and revised molded products.
Leads mold design review meeting and mold design detailing on required mold design work; ensures the manufacturing feasibility for each detail of mold.
5. Prepares PAR for mold to assist for outside fabrication and tracks mold fabrication progress.
6. Leads the mold assembly with the support of tool maker and check the mold and inserts.
7. Leads the mold debug (including critical dimensions review, FAI disposition…) until the mold is qualified and transfer to mass production.
Takes challenge for the mid-complicated mold design.
8. Follows Product Development Procedure and make sure tooling development on right phase.
9. Summarizes and shares Lesson Learn.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned by manager.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
1. University of technology completion in mechanic major /material forming and control engineering/ polymer material and engineering.
2. Engineering Graphics or equivalent CAD training.
3. At least 4 years experiences in mold design.
4. Strong CAD skills.
5. Organization skills to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload.
Strong analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observes results and trouble shooting.
6. Strong communication, coordination and team-work ability.
7. Be familiar with inspection skill.
8. Be familiar with molding process.
9. Know mold flow and can read and understand the mold flow report.
10. Know the character of common engineering resin (such as LCP, PBT, PA, ABS, PC…).
11. Know mold fabrication method and process.
12. Occasional domestic travel to manufacturing plants for mold design reviews, building progress track and mold debug.
13. Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and action to achieve goals.

What Will Put You Ahead
1. Three years of mold design experience with emphasis on connector mold designs.
2. CAD skills in NX software.
3. Verbal and written communications skills in English to express ideas clearly and concisely.
