Your Job
1. Review new product’s feasibility with other engineers as PD, mold designer, automation engineer, AQP, process engineer in IMD, Assembly, Stamping, and Plating etc.
2. Review with others designers and tool makers, for the die layout and the die debugging.
3. Contact MIE to review die and components quotation.
4. Contact with buyer to get new die’s quotation.
5. Review with vendor’s engineers about new die design requirement and layout.
6. Confirm information with vendor’s engineers.
What You Will Do
1. Finish new dies design and related document individually.
2. Die design change and update drawing.
3.Participates in product design review and DFMEA discussion to ensure stamping manufacturing feasibility.
4. Works with PJM and manufacturing engineering team to identify die developing schedules.
5. Leads the die debug (including critical dimensions review, FAI disposition…) until the die is qualified.
6. Supports tooling transfer from other entity or plant.
7. New technology development relevant to stamping die.
8. Prepares PR for die to assist for outside fabrication and tracks die fabrication progress. Summarizes and shares lesson learn.
9. Other duties as assigned by manager.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
1. University of technology completion in mechanic major.
2. Engineering Graphics or equivalent CAD training.
3. At least 4 years’ experience in progressive die design.
4. Strong CAD skills.
5. Good English reading and writing ability.
6. Be familiar with die manufacturing process and die structure.
7. With die debugging experience.
8. Travel is needed for die progress monitoring.
9. Project management skill.
What Will Put You Ahead
1. 4 years of die design experience with emphasis on connector die design.
2. CAD skills in Siemens NX software.
3. Good oral English is preferred.
