Accountabilities
• Co-ordinate, develop and drive the supplier engagement process together with sourcing team (procurement and technology & sourcing managers). Lead 1 to 1 meeting with chemical suppliers in China on carbon data collection and reduction plan development. Ensure the development and the delivery of carbon reductions roadmaps at suppliers.
• Using the globally established process, record carbon reduction opportunities, support their evaluation, track the implementation of opportunities and translate into benefits that can be reported externally.
• Coordinate the sustainability data collection (Scope 1,2,3) from China suppliers through TfS platform, support validation of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data from China suppliers.
• Be the primary point of contact within the region for support and guidance for suppliers in calculating PCF’s to a defined industry standard (e.g. TfS)
• Develop and maintain a good awareness of local and regional policies and regulations related to climate action, energy and reporting. Drive the internal communication on the China energy/carbon policy dynamics reporting.
• Develop and facilitate the training on sustainability topics to enhance the related knowledge for key China suppliers.
• Ensure project management discipline in all interaction with suppliers. Ensure alignment with Sourcing teams and act as a first contact point for the sourcing team on carbon related topics.
• Together with the China sourcing project lead, develop resources and identify potential partners (Consultancy offices, University institutes) that can accelerate capability development at suppliers. Contribute on behalf of Syngenta at regional industry groups.
• Support key suppliers in China with available tools, methodologies and solutions as they develop carbon reduction plans at their manufacturing sites.
• Develop knowledge on technical and organizational solutions from inhouse and external experience -Spread good practices. Identify common challenges / opportunities and identify regional solutions.

Knowledge 背景知识
• Able to leverage local regulations, targets, governmental steer etc. to influence suppliers in their transition plans.
• Knowledge and experience in GHG protocol, ISO 14064, etc.
• Understand-awareness basic LCA methodology, how PCFs are calculated, boundaries (cradle-to-gate), data availability and quality (basic knowledge)
• Good knowledge, experienced, in chemical production technologies.
• Able to provide support to suppliers in a range of domains such as:
• Methodology of analysis (carbon focused)
• Focal points in terms of main carbon contributors (energy source, usage and efficiency, direct emissions, handling of high GWP compounds.)
• Knowledge of local regulations in terms of energy sourcing and usage (e.g. must know if and what suppliers have to report to their authorities)
• Organizational & technical solutions

Experience 经验
• University degree in a technical degree, preferably with specialization in sustainability
• Min. 5-10 years of experience on the job, preferentially in chemical manufacturing, ability to work independently
• Decarbonization project experience and hands on energy audit is preferrable
• impatient optimism and creative will to actively shape a field in transition
• Procurement/supplier engagement/management and sourcing background is preferrable
