Your work as an IT Infrastructure Engineer will include:
1. Trouble Ticket and Change Request handling through its whole lifecycle for a globally distributed IT Infrastructure
2. 1st and occasionally 2nd level technical support and analysis of issues reported by the business
3. Resolving technical IT Infrastructure related problems for Storage systems, High Performance Computing, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Wide Area Network and Cloud-agnostic platforms
4. Execution of routine system administration tasks, configurations, incorporation of patches, bug fixes and upgrades
5. Incident monitoring, incident handling and incident escalations
6. Cloud Backup and Archive handling
7. Participation in On-Call/On-Duty rotation model


Required skills and competencies:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field/comparable qualification or vocational education with relevant professional experience
2. Experience within the field of Information Technology, preferably hands-on experience in Network, Storage, Compute, Virtualization and Cloud (Alibaba and AWS China)
3. Understanding of, or experience with DellEMC Isilon/Powerscale systems, Wide Area Network (MPLS, SD-WAN), High Performance Computing, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and knowledge of the dependencies with other technologies such as LAN, Firewalls, Active Directory
4. Good understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
5. Ability to multi-task and work under high pressure, work both independently, and as a member of the team
6. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Good planning and organizing skills
8. Positive attitude and willingness to work in a global team with different cultures
9. Ability to work on weekends, public holidays and during the night
10. ITIL Foundation certified (preferred)
11. Willingness to travel
12. Fluent in English (spoken and written)
