The China Operations Lead oversee’ s and optimize our relationships with external manufacturing partners in APAC. He is responsible for ensuring the successful production and delivery of high-quality products while maintaining strong collaboration with external suppliers. He plays a crucial role in managing key supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Your Impact

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your competencies:
Engineering
• Have a deep understanding of products & manufacturing processes and serve as technical advisor for external manufacturing partners.
• Acting as a liaison between ASP stakeholders and external manufacturers to ensure technical issues are properly addressed and ironed out.
Compliance:
• Have a solid understanding of China GMP and support quality through appropriate infrastructure and resources.
• In collaboration with the ASP Quality organization, he works with the suppliers to establish and maintain high-quality standards for manufactured products.
• In collaboration with ASP RA/QA, he ensures that external manufacturing partners comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Keep abreast of changes in regulatory requirements that may impact manufacturing processes.
Capacity Planning:
• Collaborate with suppliers to assess and plan for production capacity requirements.
• Anticipate and address potential capacity constraints to meet demand.
Production Planning:
• Work closely with suppliers to develop production plans that align with demand forecasts. Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products.
Cost Management:
• Analyze and optimize manufacturing costs to improve efficiency and reduce expenses. Identifies and drives opportunities for cost savings without compromising product quality.
Continuous Improvement:
• Implement FBS driven continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with external manufacturers. Drive efficiency improvements in manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
Risk Management:
• Identify and assess potential risks in the external manufacturing process.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Communication:
• Facilitate clear communication between ASP stakeholders and external manufacturers.
• Provide regular updates on production status, potential issues, and performance metrics.

• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
• Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Our Needs

Here’s what we’ll need from you:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
• Proven experience in external manufacturing management or related roles.
• People leader experience with skills to build and develop teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles and quality control.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations & industry standards. Knowledge of China GMP, ISO13485, ISO14971 is preferred.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both English & Mandarin.
