Job Purpose:
“To be responsible for delivering assigned projects from review through to implementation on time and within budget. To lead and motivate the local team to achieve project goals and objectives”


Key Accountabilities:
In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Project Management (40%)
- To be responsible and accountable for formulating and implementing assigned IT projects to completion within cost & schedule constraints
- To be responsible for database maintenance & customization report generation and computer network/router/firewall/server/vmware management etc
- To coordinate with user departments on IT service provision and the smooth running of applications and end user support teams
- To ensure that the project deliverables are in compliance with the user requirements and company quality standards
- To report status on projects assigned through internal meetings
- To oversee assigned projects and handle any major issues and hurdles that may present themselves
- To handle special projects assigned and coordinate existing resources to complete the project on time and within budget

System Maintenance (30%)
- To provide an uninterrupted service and maintain efficient & effective help desk and support to end users
- To lead local team to support and enhance existing application systems and to streamline existing operations
- To be responsible for integrated testing design review and planning (volume test, abnormal test and interface test)
- To coordinate with vendor suppliers to support existing systems
- To liaison with internal end users. Gather requirements, feedback and recommend proper procedures and solutions to them
- To enforce and maintain system policies and procedures on: system, security and network administration, operations and maintenance control, performance and system capacity monitoring
- To be responsible for ensuring high availability and security of all IT systems, networks and applications

IS Security (15%)
- To implement appropriate IT security measures based on current issues and best practices identified regionally and external influences
- To develop guidelines specific to PG,CL when required
- To ensure security policies are adhered to by all users and vendors and continually reviewed
- To lead by example and take a strong position with regards to system security in terms of general access, e-mail and virus protection

Team Leadership (15%)
- To provide management and supervision to the team on all aspects of project management and technical infrastructure/operations
- To demonstrate and reinforce the Lane Crawford Vision and Values at all times and provide the necessary leadership to gain commitment from the IT team
- To represent Lane Crawford at all times and build relationships that will benefit the business
- To build strong internal communications and facilitate an open working relationship amongst all departments
- To reinforce the company message to the team and reinforce the need to drive profitability at Lane Crawford through value added activities and better efficiencies
- To provide on job training and coaching to ensure that the IT team are able to meet and exceed the requirements of their role
- To identify and facilitate opportunities for additional training for the team and end users
- To recognize, reward and celebrate success with the team, stores and other functions
