Reporting Line: Asia Supply Chain Head
Job Purpose:
The role of the Lead of Logistics, Asia will be responsible for driving the Asia logistic
operation efficiencies, setting up robust processes and KPIs on
transportation/warehouse management by implementing global policies and
strategies, managing end to end logistics with continuous optimization on cost and
working capital.
Accountabilities:
Logistic operation
- Manages SC operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with global and regional goals, objectives, and policies.
- Plan, direct and control all inbound to outbound logistic operation from receiving, picking, transportation and warehouse to distribution.
- Set up standards and processes to ensure that products are stored, handling and distributed to obtain the required quality and freshness.
- Optimize the operation flow continuously to achieve supply agility and stability.
- Continuous improve on supply chain service (OTIF) and deliver the cost saving targets by lean operation.
- Support regional supply chain team to roll out supply chain initiatives to implement SC strategies.
- Ensure the smooth operation of import & export, ensure the compliance of importing laws in different market
Logistic cost reduction and 3PL management
- Track, report and forecast logistic cost with breakdown by cost type
- Set up KPIs to effectively manage and measure the performance of 3PLs and other supply chain contractors/agencies
- Provide in-depth cost analysis report
- Develop initiatives to drive the continuous cost reduction
- Set up robust logistic bidding processes
- Manage 3PL partners by building up win-win long term relationship
Sustainability
- Drive the initiatives to continuously reduce the carbon footprint
- Improve s-EBITA by optimizing the logistic network
- Implement global processes and policies of logistic safety and quality
Team management
- Create a learning organization environment to upgrade the team’s capability and adaptability to changes.
- Develop skills among the team by mentoring, assigning training courses and using stretch assignments.
- Manage team performance working to motivate the team to achieve high performance against targets.
Knowledge & Experience required:
- Bachelor degree and/or an advance education in logistics, SC Management or related field.
- 5+ years SC experience with proven leadership in FMCG business with annual revenue > 200mm euro.
- Have a proven track record in driving changes, can-do attitude and ability to lead continued development.
- Proven experience on managing logistic operations, optimizing inventory and driving supply chain cost savings.
- Advanced verbal & written proficiency in English. A second language advantageous
