We at Daimler Truck China Powertrain take responsibility of Mercedes-Benz powertrain (Engine, ATS and Transmission) applications in China, and we are integrated in global R&D family with daily exchange and collaboration, especially with Germany.

In your responsibility, you will deep dive the globally developed powertrain solutions from new powertrain application, testing, and parts mechanics perspective. You will test and proceed further powertrain components localization in China to strengthen our competitiveness.

Job description:
- Execute DVP&R Testing plan for localized or new components
- Prototype Parts & Engines handling, assembly, measurement and documentation
- Conduct test bench and vehicle durability testing
- Analyze and document testing and measurement data
- Powertrain component tear down, inspection and release reporting
- Manage and coordinate testing facilities and service providers
- Collaborate with Daimler Truck global powertrain R&D and platform on daily basis

Qualification:
- University education: bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or equivalent advanced qualification; international study is a big plus

Experience:
- 5+ years proven track of engineering experience in automotive powertrain sector, preferably commercial diesel engine
- Solid experience and knowledge in engine mechanics, test bench testing and vehicle testing
- Familiar with working environment of international company with multiple, cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience of testing facilities, measurement data analysis

Specific knowledge and skills:
- High level of English proficiency, also on technical matters. German is a big plus
