Rakuten China (Beijing), founded in October 2010, is a wholly owned subsidiary by Rakuten Group. The Shanghai branch office was established in March 2015, and the Dalian Branch Office was established in March 2019. Rakutenians in China build platforms and network for vertical businesses functions as the technology hub and business portal for a global E-commerce, Marketing, Travel, Digital, AI, Data Science services and Rakuten Eco-system across the globe. That enables Rakuten CNTD to perform as the development center of Rakuten Group in China.
