Responsibilities:
Accounting responsibilities for China entities.
- Take the manager role in China entities' monthly, quarterly and yearly closing process and to ensure alignment with US GAAP/Garrett financial policies and on time SAP closing.
- Responsible for validation of the timely and accurate reporting of the balance sheet including monthly analytical reviews, monthly quality reviews in Blackline and annual balance sheet reviews. Actively drive remediation action plan.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of tax reconciliation and filing with the coordination with Tax function.
- Physical fixed assets count tracking and coordinating the inventory count activities.
Financial reporting responsibilities
- Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the China entities' financial statements including balance sheet, P/L and cash flow reports.
- Lead and deeply involve into the coordination with external auditor for statutory reporting.
- Timely capture and report risk&opportunty items to avoid financial surprise.
- Assist APAC Controller to comply with China entities SOX & internal control initiative to align with global requirement.
- Support APAC Controller in performing and coodinating local and global initiatives and ad-hoc tasks
Team management responsibilities
- Deeply involve into every team member's daily work and provide guidance and clear instructions to the team.
- Review and ensure team members deliveries' accuracy, timeliness and efficiency.
- Coach and improve team accounting capability and mindset. Deliver sufficient knowledge training to the team.
- Develop and drive detailed working level SOP for team members to follow
- Drive the team with positive and proactive working attitude and keep the improvement momentum.
- Collaboratively work for the good of the team
- Manage outsourced accounting team Genpact to continuously improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree required. Accounting and Finance background. ACCA / CPA preferred.
Above 10 years of finance experience, more than 3-4 years of similar accounting manager role experience. Good tacker of team management experience.
Good English skill
Knowledge of SAP is a must as well as strong Microsoft Office skill
SOX experience is a plus
