Task description:
1. Planning of complex testing regarding quality, timeline, resources and costs under consideration of DAI- and local guidelines and specifications, as well as legal requirements.
2. Planning of tests and investigations of single tests and test series of complete engines, and –components.
3. Adjust test equipment, system and arrangement.
4. Set-up of engines and components and measurement equipment. Prepare test orders, setting-up, modify and optimize testing programs and adapt to local environment.
5. Built-up and parametrization of testing procedures, as well as simulation programs.
6. Execution, operation and adjustments of sophisticated calibration and durability tests.
7. Assessment of sustainability, abrasion and consumption according to the testing plans.
8. Ensure qualitative precision of measurements in alignment with DAI-RD departments in Germany and China
9. Ensure plausibility of test data and results in continuous alignment with the customer calibration engineers regarding all relevant engine parameters.
10. Prepare testing reports, induce decisions, propose further steps.
11. Decision of test result release to the costumers, define testing conditions and eventual changes, decide about abortion or repetition of the test scope. Align timing with the costumers.
12. Implement new testing technologies, - equipment and testing methods according to DAI specs.
13. Contribute to the elaboration of testing concepts and spec books.
14. Follow DAI guidelines and targets.
15. Adapt and modernize according to customer’s needs.
16. Support in an active role new technology projects, take over work packages, execute new roll。
Requirements:
1. Technical certification or university degree for automotive engineering, mechanical engineering or related engineering background
2. 3-5 years or above on requested technical field
3. Shift work required( 2x shifts morning and late)
4. Experienced in Engine test lab planning, test equipment installation/commissioning and engine lab operation and testing
5. Knowledge of automotive, 4 zyl gasoline engines and key components
6. Strong problem solving abilities
7. Self-responsible working attitude and initiative
8. Knowledge in operating with engine test bench atomization systems e.g. PUMA, INCA, CAMEO, INDICOM and test programming,
9. Intercultural competence and communication skills
10. Professional English and Chinese, optional German skills for technical negotiations
