Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team at Amaris Consulting. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with 4-6 years of experience, who are ready to take on new challenges in the dynamic field of data engineering. The position is based in China and comes with an Undetermined Duration Contract.
Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
Create innovative vehicle data solutions that provide valuable insights into performance metrics.
Develop cockpit-like interfaces that allow users to interact effectively with complex datasets.
Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices through rigorous testing.
Incorporate effective security measures into all aspects of technical architecture.
Maintain meticulous records of project progress and changes for future reference or audits.
Collaborate closely with other team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment between various projects and initiatives.

About You

The ideal candidate would be someone who has a strong foundation in IT principles coupled with hands-on experience in managing large-scale databases. Your ability to think strategically about database systems will be crucial as we continue innovating within this space.
You have 4-6 years' experience working as a Data Engineer or similar role within the IT sector.
You possess excellent knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases along with proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure etc.)
Your understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques sets you apart from others.
You have previously worked on developing cockpit-like interfaces which enable easy interaction with complex data.
You have a proven track record of designing and implementing vehicle data solutions that drive business growth.
Your ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal is commendable.
Being a team player with excellent problem-solving skills, you are able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
