1. Understanding of company vision and strategy.
2. Responsible for operating the branch within the budget parameters established.
3. Achieve agreed income & expense budgets, taking corrective action where necessary.
4. Direct business policies to achieve short / long-term targets to increase profitability, product scope & service quality.
5. Ensure all activities comply with relevant Government / Legal demands and ethical standards. 6. Manage day-to-day branch activities within the area assigned.
7. Provide proactive leadership, guidance, training and performance feedback to the team.
8. Responsible for staff scheduling ie: work assignments / rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, and back-up for absent employees.
9. Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
10. Develop strong relations with air / ocean / domestic service vendors, that will ensure DSV has a ‘preferred standing’ in the priority handling of our cargo. Oversee right vendor selection / quality / evaluation / costing optimization.
11. Evaluate / optimize processes & procedures involving air & ocean products.
12. Participate actively to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
13. Monitor market trends & competitor activity being part of identifying new areas of opportunity.
14. Actively involve and support the sales activities.
15. Other tasks assigned by superior.
