HP Personal System Quality (PS Quality) is hiring Partner Quality Program Manager position in Kunshan or Shanghai. We are looking for people with proved record of working knowledge of Quality or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Software related). The job focuses on product lifecycle end-to-end quality performance management (from NPI to sustaining), drives ODM partners and suppliers to deliver better quality products with collaboration with internal function teams, communicates quality performance to respective management, program teams and business teams.

As Partner Quality Program Manager for HP PC (NB/DT) products, you will be responsible for end-to-end product quality based at our ODM partners side:

Lead end to end quality governance with ODM partners through daily quality engagement, weekly and monthly quality reviews.

Manage product lifecycle end-to-end quality through NPI to sustaining based at ODM factory in terms of customer experience and field quality performance.

Support system team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to fix quality risk concerns and issues with 8D principle, to develop, improve and implement ODM quality management process and tool.

Monitoring product quality performance, understand key quality drivers on specific product, then take actions to work with stakeholders to bring product quality performance back to goal.

Responding to customer escalations, driving issue resolution, and determining service strategy for the installed base.

You will work closely with Engineering development, SQPM/PLQPM, SC PE/OE/SQE and ODM partners to ensure product quality goal attainment.

You will work with cross-functional team members and ODMs to ensure compliance with agreed upon SLA for closure of product issues related to quality and functionality, and reliability. 

Your technical expertise and leadership will ensure quick resolution to complex technical issues escalated from customer.

You will employ a variety of data sources to understand product quality trends and will communicate your findings to ODM and internal HP teams for root cause, containment, corrective and preventive action.

Using the 8D process, you will work with ODMs, suppliers, HP SC and R&D to ensure MFG, Material and Design issues are driven to closure, resulting in a high quality product that pushes the limits of quality performance and customer experience.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, statistics or equivalent.

PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, CQE, CRE or other Quality certification preferred.

Typically, 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing, design or quality engineering.

Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrated expertise in design, development and integration of hardware, firmware and software systems, or mechanical product design including physical, thermal, acoustics, safety, regulatory and reliability.

Demonstrated success leading technical development or system qualification in an ODM partnership model.

Advanced experience in PC engineering (hardware or software) or statistics: SPC, sampling plan, hypothesis, DOE, …etc.
