Job Specification:
Responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs for local premises, with the objective to proactively reduce risks and ensure compliance with China relevant EHS laws and regulations and HP EHS standards Work with the business units and Suppliers/Contractors/Subcontractors to ensure the implementation of HP EHS management system and standards. Provides expertise to various business units, teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives/activities and programs. Track, review, consult and implement EHS laws regulations, promulgated by country, province and local regulatory authorities for all work activities, including those at customer sites.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that the site’s overall environmental health and safety performance is in compliance with legal, company requirements at site. Participate in regular meetings, communicate on the existing EHS issues, and work out action plan for these existing EHS issues and ensure effectiveness and focus on continuous improvement. Organize and conduct regular EHS inspection to discover potential EHS risk, follow up relevant corrective actions till effective closure. Be responsible for convening Emergency Response Team members and implementing Emergency Response Plan. Be responsible for incident and injury reporting, investigating and corrective actions, and follow up corrective and preventive actions and ensure effective closure. Be responsible for identifying and forecasting EHS training needs and ensure the completion of EHS training for relevant employees, deliver EHS training to staff as required by laws and regulations. In charge of contractor/supplier management and ensure that all contractor/supplier follow up HP EHS standards and requirements Carry out the overall fire safety management in the HP premises Participate in the process of the project of office decoration and innovation so as to make sure these projects to meet the requirements of EHS laws and regulations and HP EHS standards. Liaise with external authorities, such as the emergency management bureau, fire bureau, and environmental protection bureau on EHS issues and is the point of contact for those external agencies. Be familiar with EHS audit and conduct the EHS audit as necessary Coordinate and help solve relevant work safety, health and fire safety issues with the Property Management Company, Landlord and Business Units.
Education and Experience Required:
1. First level university degree in science required, with safety engineering, environmental engineering or chemistry recommended.
2. China Certified Safety Engineer Certificate required
3. Building Fire Warden (Level IV) Certificate required
4. 3-5 years of environmental, health and safety experience required

1. Sound knowledge of EHS legislation as it relates to China, local and relevant provinces.
