Background of Global LTS Organization:
As part of the Centralized E2E Controllership model, Global LTS (Legal / Tax / Statutory) organization is being created. The vision is to create a centrally managed organization that delivers E2E LTS Services globally by migrating from geographically dispersed LTS (Legal, Tax, Statutory) support model to a Centralized and Centrally Managed model in Global and Regional Hub. The organization will have E2E Global Process leadership for Legal, Tax and Statutory support across the company. As the In-Country Controllership presence is reduced, the Global LTS hub provides E2E Controllership activities from the Global and Region Hubs.
As part of North Asia LTS finance team, you will:
Provide E2E Legal, Tax, Statutory support for HK and Taiwan
Legal & Statutory Support:
1. Support Local Country Statutory Audit, Statutory Account Filing and Compliance
2. Prepare annual set of financial statements and applicable notes in accordance with the local accounting standards
3. On-going statutory accounting reviews and booking of adjustments and reclassification needed to comply with local accounting and tax laws;
4. Prepare monthly/quarterly statutory balance sheet reviews and quarterly fiscal profit and loss analytical review, including reconciliation of management vs. statutory accounting
Tax Support
5. Perform tax accounting inputs: pre-tax earnings forecast, foreign tax package (FTP) and IC discount setting
6. Collaborate with tax teams and the designated consultants to complete tax returns and reconciliation on a monthly and yearly basis;
Business Support:
7. Execute Country Balance Sheet Review process
l Ensure balance sheet risk areas are managed
l Identify opportunities for financial improvements
l Highlight issues and proposes solutions to a more senior individual contributor or manager
8. Monitor and manage country risk with Business Unit finance
9. Act as business trust advisor - provide financial consulting and policy guidance to new business initiatives
10. Collaborate with the Treasury team to improve cashflow and manage bank guarantees
11. Work with the business owners and other finance functions to avoid surprises and clear any anomalies
Are you a high-performer? We are looking for an individual with:
1. First level university degree in Accounting or Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA / CPA/ ACA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
2. Typically 4+ years of experience in a finance function or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of business.
3. Typically experienced in auditing firm plus US listed company controllership experience
To be successful, you should have:
1. Ability to communicate in English fluently
2. Ability to operate in a matrixed environment and deal with ambiguity.
3. Good understanding of US GAAP and Local GAAP and Reporting requirements.
4. Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
5. Good analytical skills and comfortable to work with database and systems
6. Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel; pivot table, powerpoint slides, etc.)
7. Good communication and influencing skills
8. Good teamwork skills and interpersonal skills
9. Good project management skill.
