Principal Accountabilities:
1. To develop and implement the skin care merchandise, buying and pricing strategy, in line with the agreed Merchandise Controller vision and mission.
2. Keep abreast of the retail environment by paying regular visits to stores, to competitors and also internationally and take appropriate suggest/decisions /actions to ensure competitive advantage is maintained.
3. Generate sales by ensuring that Mannings target customers are provided with products and services that they want.
4. Establish and maintain a margin and pricing policy which maximises business profits whilst delivering a good value skin care offer to the customer.
5. To negotiate the best terms with suppliers by creating and building strong mutually beneficial partnership relationships.
6. Maximise other income generation from the vendor base.
7. Manage stock levels and mark downs to ensure that product availability is high yet ensure that cash flows and profits are maximised by controlling stock levels within set targets.
8. Establish and maintain effective SKU control.
9. Work closely with Marketing to implement merchandising activities and category plans which are customer focused in offering interesting and innovative promotional activities and events to increase sales, profits and foot- traffic.
10. Work closely with Retail and Sales management to ensure that the promotional offers are coordinated throughout the Supply Chain.
11. Continuously review the skin care product category mix to ensure that customers needs are fully satisfied at all times.
12. Actively lead the user community in the implementation of cost effective, efficient, and responsive merchandise management systems.
13. Training, coaching and leading the skin care team to develop appropriate core competencies.
14. Build an effective and open working relationship within the skin care team and other merchandise teams or other departments
Knowledge and Competencies Required to Perform
Requirement:
1.University Graduate.10 years skin/cosmetics experience,6 years at an executive level
2.Excellent pepole management skills
3. Customer focus, energetic and action orientated
4. Operation focus, maintain effective co-operation with operations.
5. Strong influencing skills and communication skills.
6. Proficiency in English and Chinese.
7. Strong analytical skills with attention to details.
8. Good planning and organization skills.
9. Open to change and with flexibility.
