Founded in 2004, TAO is a Light Sources & Luminaires manufacturer with a European and Chinese management team.
Until 2006, we focused on designing portable lamps and assembling halogen recessed downlights at our first factory based in Shanghai.
In 2007/08, we extended our products portfolio with spotlights, furniture lights and desk lamps. We also built up the most compelling range of recessed downlights for the retail market until now.
In 2009, we moved to a new 26,000 square meter factory, with larger production capacity - up to 1,000,000 products/month -, and with electronic assembling lines for ballasts, converters and LED drivers. On this site, we built up comprehensive testing facilities for luminaires and light sources.
By 2010, we set up automated SMT production lines to manufacture LED light sources and LED integrated luminaires. We just launched 3 Series of light sources compliant with new ErP standards: METEOR for LED, IRIS for CFL, ORION for Eco Halogen.

In the last 6 years, we have implemented rigorous supply chain, assembling, and quality control processes.
TAO is among the rare Chinese lighting manufacturers successfully audited, inspected and listed by a majority of the top 20 retail companies in Europe and Asia Pacific.
ODM/OEM Luminaires and LED light Sources made by TAO are endorsed and distributed under leading lighting vendors brands in Europe and China.

Curring Edge Technology, Now

Our Research & Development team is articulated around 5 fields of expertise: electronics, optics, mechanical and thermal engineering, LED intelligence.
Time to market for new LED products is critical to provide the best ratio of efficiency and price performance. Hence, TAO R&D, sourcing, marketing and conformity assessment teams are organized to design, test and certify innovative lighting products within an effective timeframe.
