1971年，在伦敦Lambeth，Costa兄弟Bruno和Sergio创立了他们著名的咖啡豆烘焙工场，将传统的意式烘焙法加以缓慢处理，制作出令人兴奋的咖啡，供应本地餐饮机构与意式咖啡专营店。人们对这种咖啡钟爱有加，终于在1978年，第一家Costa espresso bar在伦敦Vauxhall Bridge Road宣告诞生。时至今日，我们仍沿用这一经典的缓慢烘焙工艺，并传承兄弟俩将Arabica咖啡豆与Robusta咖啡豆按6:1混合的方法，制作出绝妙的咖啡，供应全球1000多家意式咖啡吧。

从2006年12月底至今，COSTA在上海、浙江、江苏、广东及湖北已经有75家门店。COSTA即将进军华中市场，第一家门店将于2011年10月在重庆正式开幕，后续今年将有6家门店在重庆和成都相继开张。

Costa coffee was first poured on our shores in 1971 at 9 Newport Street, London, by Sergio and Bruno Costa. Today, just a few metres away from where they first set up, the Costa Roastery produces the same unique Mocha Italia blend that the Costa brothers worked so hard to create.
